At Nook Street Dental Practice we provide a wide range of dental treatments, often these are essential for maintaining your dental health. We have tried to collate some useful information about the services we provide on this website (in the services menu) but are always happy to provide further information if required, so please do not hesitate to ask one of our team and we will be happy to help.
Oral Health Assessments
We carry out thorough checks of your mouth and jaws to investigate your oral health needs and provide a full bespoke treatment plan when treatment is needed.
Digital Xrays
X-rays aid us in our diagnosis and treatment planning on a daily basis. Our digital software makes this much easier and less time consuming than the old films some may recall.
Periodontal Treatment
See one our Dental Therapists for your regular hygiene and maintenance appointments. In some cases you may require further more focused treatment in order to treat periodontal disease (gum disease).
Fillings
Fillings may be required due to Dental Caries (tooth decay), broken teeth or maybe old fillings that need replacing because they are leaking? Whatever the reason our team of Dentists and Dental Therapists can take care of it for you.
Root Canal Treatments
Sometimes when teeth become painful or the tooth has "died" it will require a root canal treatment. This involves cleaning the inside of the tooth out thoroughly and then filling the tooth roots and crown to ensure it is sealed.
Extractions
Occasionally when teeth have become painful, infected, loose or are too heavily broken down, we need to remove them. You may whish to explore our replacement options such as Implants, Bridgework or Dentures if a tooth is removed.
Crowns or Onlays
Placing a crown or onlay is a dental procedure during which the tooth is shaped, and a lab-made restoration is custom-fitted to the tooth. The intended benefits of the procedure include returning the tooth to its correct shape and restoring its strength.
Bridgework
Placing a bridge is a dental procedure during which a tooth/teeth are shaped and a lab-made restoration is custom made and fitted. The intended benefits of the procedure include providing a fixed false tooth supported by the adjacent tooth/teeth.
Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length. Veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials.
Dentures
Dentures are a custom-made, removable prosthetic to replace one or more missing teeth, in order to enhance the appearance of your smile and restore your ability to speak and eat comfortably. Click the icon for more information about Dentures
Dental Implants
Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth.
